Vabeld acquires land near Brașov (Romania) and enters the renewable energy sector
Vabeld has completed the acquisition of a 50-hectare industrial site north-east of Brașov in central Romania. The purchase was agreed some time ago but was conditional on obtaining the permits required for a large-scale solar park. These have now been granted.
Vabeld’s role extends beyond the acquisition of the land: together with a Belgian specialist and a local partner, Vabeld will remain involved in the construction and operation of the solar park. The joint venture is not limited to this site either, as permits have also been obtained for a solar park just south of Cluj-Napoca, Romania’s second-largest city.
