Vabeld got the license for the redevelopment and expansion of the Euro Shop site Puitvoetstraat and Kapelstraat, facing Waasland Shopping in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium). The plan includes partial demolition and reconstruction of the existing buildings to a net sales surface of 7,600 m² combined with a new building for Albert Heijn (1,650 m²) and sitting tenant Brantano (750 m²).

Vabeld acquired New Barratt House in Liverpool on the corner of Lord Street and North John Street. It is a mixed building with retail tenants including Santander, Greggs, Subway, Pound Bakery and Wilkinson Cameras while the main office tenant is LILA, the Liverpool International Language Academy. Also included are a number of outdoor parking spaces which might offer a mid to long term development opportunity. This constitutes Vabeld’s fifth acquisition on Lord Street, resulting in a continuous ownership from North John Street to BHS.
Vabeld acquired another rented property as well as a 56000 square meter land plot in Bucharest Industrial park in Q1 2016.
The rented building is leased to Titan Machinery, Eurobody Hydraulics and Automotive Investment Corporation (AIC). In the meantime, a new lease was signed with Augsburg for Hala Z and the works for Hala O1 and Q1, prelet to Fashion Days are scheduled for delivery in Q2 in line with the set time frame. Vabeld is also actively preletting a new warehouse S1 of approximately 20.000 square meter, for which it is in various stages of negotiations with several potential tenants.
