Vabeld acquired another rented property as well as a 56000 square meter land plot in Bucharest Industrial park in Q1 2016.
The rented building is leased to Titan Machinery, Eurobody Hydraulics and Automotive Investment Corporation (AIC). In the meantime, a new lease was signed with Augsburg for Hala Z and the works for Hala O1 and Q1, prelet to Fashion Days are scheduled for delivery in Q2 in line with the set time frame. Vabeld is also actively preletting a new warehouse S1 of approximately 20.000 square meter, for which it is in various stages of negotiations with several potential tenants.
Extension for Centurion Retail park in Doncaster
In 2013, Vabeld purchased Centurion Retail park in Doncaster, which at the time was struggling with high vacancy and low footfall. This has changed since with Home Bargains and Iceland coming in on site. The park is now fully let. Just before Christmas 2015, the adjacent property, let to SCS and Xercise 4 Less, was acquired from a private investor. Where as these properties are today separated by a fence, our goal is to connect both sites in order to improve access and create a bigger park which will be a more attractive proposal to shoppers.
JUTTU signs with VABELD in Roeselare
JUTTU, the new brand by AS ADVENTURE, has signed a lease with VABELD in the Ooststraat in Roeselare.
After the opening of a JUTTU on the Meir in Antwerp and in the Noordzandstraat in Bruges, and the planned opening in Ghent, this will be the fourth location for the new format.
JUTTU will move into the building on 20-22 Ooststraat, currently leased to the brands Vero Moda and Jack & Jones. The property is 700 m² on the ground floor, which makes it one of the largest on the street.
The arrival of a brand as JUTTU confirms the attractiveness of Roeselare, the hometown of VABELD, as a leading shopping city in Flanders.

New purchase in bucharest A1 Industrial Park
After acquiring a number of land plots and unfinished buildings a couple of months ago, Vabeld has now acquired 2 more properties in the A1 Industrial Park from private Italian investors.
The larger property is rented to Augsburg, a car parts distribution company, until 2024. The smaller property of approximately 3000 square meter is almost completed and we are confident we will be able to let it in the coming months.
At the same time, Vabeld has signed an option for a 5 hectare land plot and an 8000 square meter income generating building in the same area.
